The clock-in nobody can lend.

A worker looks at the phone or tablet at the gate, blinks once, and is clocked in — with the time, the coordinates and whether they were late — and does the same to clock out. Cards get lent and PINs get shared; a face does not. It runs on an open engine with no per-worker licence, and keeps working with no signal.

A payslip is the most-shown document your business makes: a bank wants one for a loan, a landlord for a lease, the next employer to confirm a salary. Until now none of them could tell a real one from a figure typed over it. Every payslip now carries a reference worked out from its own numbers and a code that opens a public page which works those numbers out again.

What is Xeel?

Xeel is the HR, payroll and facial recognition attendance app in O'Sense, business software for Zambia. Workers clock in and out with their face on an Android phone or tablet; payroll works out PAYE, NAPSA and NHIMA; payslips and leave travel on WhatsApp. The employee register is free with every plan.

Can I pay workers only for the days and hours they actually worked?

Yes, for workers on a Daily or Hourly rate. The pay run pays daily-rate workers for the days their face clocked in, and hourly-rate workers for the hours between their face clock-in and clock-out. Monthly-salaried staff are paid their salary, with present, absent, late and short days shown on their timesheet.

Does face clock-in work without internet?

Yes. The face is matched on the device, and every clock-in and clock-out is saved on the phone and sent when signal returns. The time comes from the server's clock, so changing the phone's time does not change the record.

Can a worker clock in for someone else?

Not with a photo. The clock-in asks for a blink on a live face, so a printed picture or a photo on a screen does not pass. If a face is not recognised, a supervisor's override needs a reason and a site photo, and the office sees both.

Does Xeel calculate PAYE, NAPSA and NHIMA?

Yes. Every pay run works out PAYE, NAPSA and NHIMA per employee, shows them line by line on the payslip with gratuity and leave accruing, and sends the payslip to the employee as a PDF on WhatsApp.
